This is the best way to get the true market-value for your firearm. In many cases, you can get your money out of your gun more quickly. In many cases, depending on the firearm of course, you will realize a much higher sale price on your firearm than you would in any local market. Auctions can be set for nearly any amount of time from one day to three months. There are no set prices (you can however set a minimum bid or a reserve), so your gun will sell for whatever price the current market will give. If you have a common firearm, this is probably not going to be the best option, for a hard-to-find or classic firearm, this can be a very profitable way to go.
